Description

SGS is looking for a brilliant and precise Instrumentation & Electrical Technician as part of our Industries & Environment Business Line, who will be responsible for managing electrical and instrumentation activities on SGS GAS customer sites. This includes but is not limited to, analyser calibrations, sample system maintenance and system commissioning.

Key accountabilities: 

• Develop an excellent knowledge of Gas analysis instrumentation, process gas instrumentation requirement, process upset/calibration conditions and basic chemistry of standard processes.
• Develop and understanding of testing standards and analysis methods.
• Impart knowledge of Instrumentation activities and site experiences to new engineers
• Travel to customer sites for Gas testing and sample retrieval for laboratory analysis

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering field (preferred)
• Previous experience in similar role
• Strong understanding of electrical circuits, control systems, calibration and instrumentation principles
• Customer orientation and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues in complex systems
• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures, particularly for hazardous environments
• Demonstrate a positive approach to work and be able to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in Italian (native level) and proficiency in English (preferred)
