Description

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused UAV Pilot to support aerial survey operations across Tasmania. The role involves delivering high-quality unmanned aircraft missions in compliance with CASA regulations and company procedures, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities include however, not limited to:

  • Undertake UAV operations in strict compliance with CASA regulations and company procedures to support the TasNetworks Aerial Survey and other statewide programs.
  • Deliver additional unmanned systems work aligned with industry best practice and statutory requirements to ensure successful client outcomes.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, partners, and stakeholders to help define scope, budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Implement innovative and sustainable UAV inspection methodologies to improve safety, efficiency, and survey results.
  • Record and report any deviations from capture targets, including cause and implemented mitigation.
  • Ensure all operations meet company standards and comply with accreditation and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • CASA Remote Pilot Licence (RePL).
  • Demonstrated UAV flying experience in operational environments.
  • Solid understanding of CASA aviation regulations, safety management systems, and operational compliance.
  • Experience in aerial survey programs, ideally within the energy, infrastructure, or environmental sector
  • Ability to strictly adhere to CASA, WHS and other applicable regulatory requirements
