This is a leadership role where you’ll lead across the region, providing expert guidance on complex accounting matters in a fast-moving, international environment. Key job responsibilities • Research and apply US GAAP, IFRS, or other applicable reporting frameworks to unique, significant, or non-routine transactions across EMEA, ensuring high-quality documentation of accounting conclusions for complex, highly judgmental matters. • Develop, maintain, and update accounting policies and application guidance documents and support operational accounting teams in their application. • Leverage AI-powered tools and automation to enhance accounting research, streamline policy documentation, and drive innovation and year-over-year efficiency gains in policy processes. • Lead and manage complex accounting policy projects in a fast-moving, international, high-growth environment with a focus on long-term scale and simplification. • Develop and deliver organization-wide training initiatives on accounting policy matters and emerging standards, raising the bar on technical accounting capabilities. • Collaborate globally and earn trust with internal Accounting, Finance, Tax, Legal, and Technology teams, including senior leaders, as well as external business partners and auditors, distilling diverse inputs into scalable solutions. • Anticipate impact of external factors, including legal, financial, and regulatory changes, and work cross-functionally to incorporate in accounting policies and related solutions.
