Job Description

The LATAM Sr Recruiting Manager leads the end to end university talent acquisition strategy and delivery for Amazon across six countries (Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Argentina, and Chile), managing a geographically dispersed team of recruiters. This role operates as the primary business account manager for senior leaders across all Amazon Lines of Business in LATAM while simultaneously leading a team that fills high volume apprentice, intern, and full time recent graduate hires. The LATAM Sr Recruiting Manager sets the regional hiring strategy, builds and launches new programs in emerging markets, drives quality of hire, and balances short-term delivery with long-term team sustainability. The role operates with a high degree of autonomy and requires comfort navigating ambiguity, influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority, and building scalable solutions with limited infrastructure. Key job responsibilities - Define and execute early career recruiting for Latin America, translating global frameworks into locally relevant programs - Design, launch, and scale new hiring programs in under-penetrated markets (e.g., intern programs in new countries, graduate pipelines for technical roles) - Drive employer brand positioning and university partnerships across the region - Serve as the primary point of contact for business leaders across all major business lines in the region - Partner cross-functionally with HR, workforce planning, legal, employer brand, and global enablement teams - Lead, develop, and retain a distributed team across different countries and time zones - Make trade-offs between delivery pressure and team health, ensuring sustainable operating rhythms - Own hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development for the team About the team Amazon's University Talent Acquisition (AUTA) team plays a pivotal role in fueling Amazon's growth and innovation. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent (degree in foreign equivalent)
  • Experience in Recruiting or HR (experience)
  • Experience building, coaching and managing a recruiting team (experience)
  • Experience creating and executing effective talent acquisition strategies (experience)
  • Experience working with recruiting tools and systems, including resume databases, internet sourcing tools, and spreadsheets (experience)
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating, measuring and scaling workflow among candidates, hiring managers and the recruiting team (experience)
  • Experience in recruiting especially high volume hiring, both within direct hiring and outsourcing capacities (experience)
  • Fluency in Portuguese and/or Spanish in addition to English (experience)
  • Comfort working across significantly different time zones and cultural contexts within a single region (experience)
  • Knowledge of Latin American labor markets, particularly Brazil and Mexico, including familiarity with local hiring regulations (e.g., apprenticeship quotas, internship contract requirements) (experience)
  • Experience in university, campus, or early career recruiting (experience)
