We are looking for a talented Software Development Engineers to join our team; managing affordability based payments across MENA and APAC regions. In this role, you will build and operate highly available, scalable distributed systems that power payment experiences for millions of customers across MENA and APAC regions. Also, you will get to work alongside a team of passionate engineers solving complex technical challenges at the intersection of payments, technology, and customer experience. Key job responsibilities Design & Build: Define, design, and implement multi-tier distributed software applications that support payment processing at scale. Plan & Deliver: Lead high visibility projects by estimating engineering effort, planning implementation, and rolling out system changes that meet requirements for functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, and adherence to development goals and principles. Independent Ownership: Independently design, code, and test major features, as well as work jointly with and guide other team members to deliver complex changes. Cross-Team Collaboration: Effectively collaborate in a fast-paced environment with multiple teams in a large organization (Software Development, QA, Project/Release Management, Build and Release, etc.). Operational Excellence: Provide on-call production support for payment platform applications, ensuring high availability and rapid incident resolution. Engineering Excellence: Contribute to system performance by identifying optimization opportunities, and implementing improvements to ensure our services meet demanding scale and accuracy requirements. About the team We are the MAP (Middle East and Asia Pacific) Affordability team under International Emerging Stores Payments (IESP) organisation. Our vision for the organisation is to make payments trusted, convenient, and rewarding through strategic execution across multiple markets and regions.
