Risk and Compliance PracticeRisk & Compliance is responsible for establishing the framework, policies, guidance, and tools that support risk and compliance management across BNY. Led by the Chief Risk Officer, the function provides independent oversight, monitoring, and challenge of risk decisions and activities throughout the risk management lifecycle. Interns gain hands-on experience working with global teams across key areas such as credit, market, liquidity, technology, operational, compliance, model, AI, and enterprise risk, while building an understanding of how strong governance and consistent standards support the firm. As AI, GenAI, automation, and data-driven tools continue to transform financial services, Risk and Compliance analysts help evaluate emerging risks, strengthen controls, support responsible AI adoption, and translate complex information into insights that promote safe, sustainable growth. This includes exposure to how AI is governed, monitored, and used responsibly across the firm, including areas such as model risk, regulatory compliance, technology risk, data quality, control design, and the safe use of AI-enabled tools. BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $52,000 and $80,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and company- sponsored benefit programs.This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team.
