The role is based in Pune.In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: Lead the vision, architecture, and delivery of BNY’s next-generation Corporate Actions Processing Engine, a strategic greenfield platform critical to the firm's future operations.Drive the end-to-end design and development of a scalable, resilient, and high-performance processing engine that transforms Corporate Actions capabilities across the enterprise.Provide hands-on technical leadership while establishing architectural standards, engineering best practices, and modern development frameworks.Influence the long-term technology strategy and roadmap for a mission-critical platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enterprise architecture.Partner with business, product, and engineering stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and operational excellence.Build and mentor high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.Accelerate modernization efforts by leveraging emerging technologies and engineering patterns to enhance platform capabilities and future readiness.To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: Technical Skills15+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years in leadership roles (e.g. Head of Engineering, Technical Lead)Expert-level proficiency in Java and frameworks like Spring Boot for building microservicesStrong expertise with relational databases (Oracle) and data modelling expertise (canonical data models, JSON)Deep experience with enterprise messaging platforms (Kafka, IBM MQ)Proven experience implementing AI/ML solutions ( using Python or other frameworks) to solve business problemsFull-stack development experience (RESTful APIs, front-end frameworks such as Angular)Experience with Cloud and Containerization technologiesCI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing frameworksDomain ExpertiseSignificant experience in financial services, specifically:Post-trade processing and settlementCustody and asset servicing operationsCorporate actions lifecycle (dividends, stock splits, mergers, tender offers, etc.)Proven track record delivering mission-critical systems in banking environmentsLeadership & DeliveryDemonstrated success leading engineering teams through complex, multi-year transformation programsStrong Agile/Scrum methodology experienceExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills at senior levelsAbility to operate in a matrixed, global organization
