Role OverviewBNY is seeking a Senior Specialist, Client Processing to join the Archer team in Berwyn, PA. This role will be responsible for executing quality control activities, identifying and escalating operational risk, supporting control assessments, and helping ensure processes are performed in a controlled, accurate, and compliant manner. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and organizational skills, control-oriented thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams while communicating insights clearly to management and senior leadership.In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:Perform quality reviews of new accounts, account maintenance transactions, and cash flows to ensure accuracy prior to tradingIdentify processing errors, documentation gaps, and workflow handling issues, and escalate as appropriateSupport the identification, assessment, and reporting of key operational control risksPartner with senior management to develop and enhance control assessmentsConduct timely reviews of operational risk items and present findings to senior managementLead or support investigations into major control issues, including root cause analysis and remediation recommendationsPerform deep-dive reviews to evaluate whether processes are operating effectively within established controlsDevelop dashboards, metrics, and reporting materials to support oversight of operational risk and quality trendsProvide effective challenge to first-line procedures and practices and communicate observations to senior managementServe as a subject matter expert for quality control workflows, procedures, and related controlsIdentify, monitor, and report trends, issues, and variances to managementEnsure adherence to internal procedures, SLAs, compliance requirements, and quality standardsGenerate, review, and interpret control reports to identify workflow exceptions and opportunities for improvementSupport departmental initiatives, strategic priorities, and special projects as neededManage multiple workflow queues effectively in a fast-paced environmentProactively identify risks that may impact downstream processes, controls, or client outcomesTo be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required5–7 years of experience preferred, in a control, quality assurance, operational risk, or related function, ideally within asset management or financial servicesStrong understanding of operational controls, risk identification, and process oversightAbility to work effectively in a dynamic environment and translate complex issues into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and non-technical audiencesDemonstrated ability to build strong partnerships and influence positive change across teamsStrong analytical skills, sound judgment, and an inquisitive, problem-solving mindsetExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectivelyStrong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation experienceExperience producing accurate results under tight timelines while maintaining a strong focus on risk mitigation and qualityDemonstrated troubleshooting and complex problem-solving capabilitiesStrong ability to organize and analyze data, prioritize work, and succeed in a deadline-driven environment
