This role is located in Pune.In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:Design and review logical and physical data models based on existing platforms and evolving business requirementsEnhance and maintain canonical data models to support platform consistency, integration, and reuseImplement and manage database views, stored procedures, and related structures for data persistence and consumptionSupport data consumption services by providing tools, documentation, and technical guidance to development and business teamsEnsure data model performance across both transactional and analytical use casesImplement and strengthen data quality, validation, and verification processes across data models and interfacesWork closely with development, platform, and governance teams to improve understanding, adoption, and consistent use of core data structuresHandle day-to-day database operations, support data issue resolution, and contribute to continuous improvement of the data environmentSupport governed self-service analytics enablement through dataset readiness, semantic layer support, and platform administration activitiesContribute to analytics and AI enablement efforts by improving the usability, certification, and accessibility of underlying data assetsPartner with stakeholders to help translate business requirements into scalable data solutions that reduce manual effort and improve delivery leverageTo be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience requiredStrong experience with data modeling, database design, and database developmentPrior experience managing database development, enhancements, and data integration activitiesHands-on experience with relational databases, preferably MS SQL Server, including strong SQL skillsExperience implementing data validation, verification, and quality controls across data interfaces and modelsExperience with business intelligence and analytics tools such as Power BI, Sigma, Alteryx, Tableau, or DataikuStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through complex data and integration issuesExcellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts and analysis to non-technical stakeholdersExperience in financial services; investment management or securities data experience is a plusExperience supporting self-service analytics environments, semantic layers, or certified dataset developmentAt BNY, our culture speaks for itself, check out the latest BNY news at:BNY NewsroomBNY LinkedInHere’s a few of our recent awards:America’s Most Innovative Companies, Fortune, 2025World’s Most Admired Companies, Fortune 2025“Most Just Companies”, Just Capital and CNBC, 2025Our Benefits and Rewards:BNY offers highly competitive compensation, benefits, and wellbeing programs rooted in a strong culture of excellence and our pay-for-performance philosophy.
