We work closely with colleagues across lines of business to serve brokers and clients in the Danish and Norwegian markets.As a Casualty Underwriter in Middle Market, you will play an important role in the continued development of our portfolio, with a particular focus on identifying and converting new business opportunities. You will assess risks, determine whether they fit within Chubb’s appetite, prepare quotes, negotiate terms with brokers and clients, and contribute to the profitable growth of our business. The role reports to the Head of Middle Market, based in Copenhagen.For the right candidate, the role may develop into a broader team leader role.Your key responsibilities will include:Identifying and pursuing new business opportunitiesBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and clients, both existing and newPromoting Chubb’s Casualty solutions in the marketAssessing and underwriting risks in the Danish and Norwegian Middle MarketPreparing quotes, negotiating terms, and supporting the full underwriting processProviding high-quality service and support to brokers and clientsCollaborating closely with colleagues in Copenhagen and the wider Nordic/Northern organization. Your qualifications:A degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law or similar fieldsSeveral years of experience from casualty underwriting or a related commercial insurance roleStrong interest in the market-facing side of underwriting and in developing new businessConfident communicator with strong negotiation and presentation skillsFluent in Danish and English; understanding of Norwegian is an advantageSelf-driven, ambitious, and proactiveWell organized with strong process and structure skillsA service-minded team player with a positive and solution-oriented mindsetComfortable working in an international environment and collaborating across functions and countriesAs a person, you are motivated by combining technical underwriting with commercial impact, and you enjoy contributing to profitable growth in a collaborative environment.We look forward to hearing from you.
