Additional information can be found at:www.chubb.comAbout the RoleThis role offers the opportunity to validate restoration and building quotes and cost estimates for small to medium properties across high-end residential and commercial projects.You’ll work closely with contractors, policyholders, and internal stakeholders to assess damage, review scopes of work, and ensure repair costs are accurate, appropriate, and aligned with industry standards.In this role, you will:Conduct site inspections where required to assess damage and confirm scopes of work and associated costsReview and analyse scopes of work to understand repair requirements and methodologiesCollaborate with panel contractors to ensure repair costs align with contracted ratesWork with policyholder-preferred contractors to ensure repair costs align with industry standardsMaintain a strong understanding of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian StandardsApply your knowledge of the construction process, including inspection milestones, permit requirements, and WHS protocolsUse your experience in construction cost validation and industry cost standards to assess estimates accuratelyDeliver a strong customer experience by understanding the needs, expectations, and circumstances of internal and external clientsManage multiple priorities effectively and meet deadlinesProduce accurate, high-quality work with strong attention to detailCommunicate clearly and professionally with a range of stakeholdersRespond promptly and professionally to requests, emails, and phone callsAdapt to changing priorities and remain flexible in your approachWork collaboratively with others to achieve team objectives What you’ll bring to the roleDemonstrated experience in construction estimating for high-end residential and commercial propertiesThe ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously while balancing competing prioritiesExperience engaging with policyholders, builders, building consultants, and trades/suppliersStrong verbal and written communication skillsA thorough understanding of the restoration and construction lifecycle, including handover processes and WHS regulationsProficiency in relevant Building Codes and Australian StandardsThe ability to work independentlyIT proficiencyA current Builder’s Licence or relevant Building Trade Licence Why Chubb?Chubb is committed to equal employment and celebrates individual differences by creating a workplace environment in which everyone feels welcomed, respected and valued.
