The Semiconductor & Electronics Business Unit (SEBU) Systems R&D team within Emerson’s Test & Measurement Group is looking for a Senior Engineer to drive innovation at the intersection of software and semiconductor validation. This role focuses on architecting and building scalable automation frameworks that combine system-level software and measurement intellectual property for Mixed Signal and RF semiconductor IC validation. You will contribute to end-to-end solution development—from specifications to automation, data, and analytics—while collaborating with global R&D, product, and customer-facing teams to shape next-generation offerings.In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:Architect and develop framework solutions for semiconductor and electronics lab automation across Mixed Signal and RF domainsIntegrate National Instruments (NI) software tools to create comprehensive workflows for product characterization and validationDesign solutions that enable seamless transitions from specification to automation, data acquisition, and analytics to enhance product qualityOwn system features or full systems, leading them from definition through successful releaseCollaborate with global R&D teams on feature alignment, dependencies, and customer-critical issuesDevelop reusable IP and features for scalability across systems and future opportunitiesFollow established software development processes and best practices for design and implementationGather and incorporate feedback from business managers, system architects, and application engineersProvide technical leadership, guiding architectural decisions while balancing technical and business prioritiesAct as a subject matter expert (SME) for internal stakeholders and customer-facing teamsIdentify and drive architecture and process improvements to enhance long-term product quality and efficiencyRepresent customer requirements and ensure alignment with product prioritiesLead resolution of critical issues and customer concernsMentor and guide junior engineers, fostering learning and developmentPromote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team Who You Are:You promote high visibility of shared contributions to goals and actively collaborate to achieve outcomes.
