Position Summary:We are seeking a Tool Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Pune. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of tooling and fixtures, with a focus on plastic welding technologies and manufacturing excellence. You will play a key role in new product development and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and innovative engineering solutions.In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:Analyze existing tooling designs using CAD tools and implement improvements for efficiency and performanceDevelop and test prototypes for new tooling and fixture designsCollaborate with manufacturing plants to understand challenges and resolve technical issuesExecute engineering change orders (ECOs) and design updates as requiredDesign work holding fixtures and tooling solutions for various welding technologies with optimized inputsSupport new product development (NPD) by contributing to design and development of components and assembliesCreate 3D models, 2D drawings, and build detailed assembly documentation for tooling designsUpgrade legacy drawings and models to current CAD platforms and standardsEnsure timely completion of projects while meeting both defined and evolving requirementsDevelop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) in ERP systems such as OracleAdhere to organizational quality systems and engineering standardsTake ownership of additional responsibilities aligned with business needs
