OverviewMicrosoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the team behind the cloud. CO+I designs, builds, acquires, operates, and maintains Microsoft's datacenters, which houses the world's largest Commercial Cloud globally. CO+I is responsible for delivering over 200 Microsoft web portals, Live and Online Services around the world including infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. ResponsibilitiesLead complex analyses to evaluate supply, capacity, financial, and operational tradeoffs across Microsoft's global data center portfolio. Develop decision frameworks and recommendations for senior leadership on multi-billion-dollar investment decisions, capacity allocation strategies, and supply planning priorities. Partner with senior executives to assess strategic opportunities, risks, and emerging business scenarios. Structure ambiguous problems into clear options, recommendations, and executive-ready decision packages. Build rigorous business cases supporting capital investments, capacity expansion plans, strategic initiatives, and operational improvements. Quantify financial impact, ROI, risk exposure, capacity outcomes, and customer implications associated with proposed decisions. Create sensitivity analyses and decision models that assess alternative paths and investment scenarios. Develop content for executive reviews, strategy sessions, operating reviews, and decision forums. Clearly communicate tradeoffs, risks, assumptions, recommendations, and required decisions. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
