This will include coordinating, directing, and planning day-to-day functional operations to achieve goals and objectives articulated in the business strategy, Annual Operating Plan, and 5-year plan.The role carries the responsibilities across the full contract life cycle (pre-award, award and post award) for both customer and supplier contracts to ensure the assessment of proposals, negotiations, and execution of contracts are in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. The role will also assist with the preparation of bids, provide advice on the management of contractual rights and obligations, and means to mitigate commercial risk.If you are looking for an opportunity in an exciting working environment involving cutting edge technology while being empowered to develop and implement solutions to complex commercial challenges, then we would like to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesContribute as the leader in the Contracts & Supplier Governance function and a member of Raytheon Australia’s Leadership Team and the Raytheon Global Contracts Leadership Team.Contribute to the creation and implementation of strategies designed to support delivery and growth and to ensure alignment of people, processes, policies, and resources.Engage and collaborate with peers and other leaders across the Contracts & Supplier Governance group, Leadership Team, and the broader organisation to develop and deliver strategic operational plans, as well as targeted goals, and objectives.Responsible for the Contracts & Supplier Governance group’s budget planning and management and reporting on the function(s) budget.Establish and maintain key customer and supplier relationships at the Sr. levels of Procurement and Contracting.Ensure overall delivery and quality of the Contracts & Supplier Governance group’s performance within budget and schedule.Ensure effective supplier governance across procurement and major subcontractor activities, including procurement strategies, sourcing, supplier engagement and due diligence, contract management and supplier performance management.Contribute to the Raytheon Global Contracts team by collaborating across Raytheon Contracts and Supply Chain teams globally to drive innovation, growth, and compliant, and efficient functional operations across Raytheon.Travel will be required, both within Australia and internationally, to fulfil the requirements of this role.Skills, Experience and QualificationsA University Degree in Business, or equivalent experience.Minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience (when a University Degree is held).Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior leadership/management role providing strategic advice to senior company management.Experience in the defence or aerospace industry sectors.Demonstrated experience in commercial negotiations and development of customer and supplier relationships.Demonstrated experience in program and financial management, including Earned Value Management.Track record of inclusive talent development and mentorship that results in improved business performance and growth opportunities for employees.Experience in government contracts and procurement processes.Applicants must be an Australian citizen and/or eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance up to NV1.
