The Onsite Technical support at the Producers facilities is part of the established risk mitigation plan. The candidate will be vigilant and proactive in monitoring the producer’s progress to technical issues, advising on status, and working with the producer to ensure problems that may require root cause investigations, corrective action, recovery plans are visible to PWC on a timely manner. Her/his main objective is to identify and support the elimination of all Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) risks that could prevent the achievement of producers 100% On-Time Delivery (OTD) and Entry Into Production (EIP). His role is mainly performed right from the early product configuration phase until the Customer Entry Into Service (EIS).Division: Partnership Operations , Partnership Industrialization and OperationsOrganizational Unit: 2590- Production readiness and QualityHiring Manager: Rocio RequenaGeneral Description of the positionProvide Industrialization onsite support at the Producer(s) and liaise with P&WC engineering, manufacturing, operations, quality, and partnership office and other P&WC groups as required to mitigate partnership risk and progress the Project.Key responsibilities:Reporting to the Senior Partnership Industrial Manager, the Partnership industrialization and operations team is looking for an experienced engineer to provide support to the New engine program in the following ways:Provide visibility to P&WC on any emerging issue at producerBe able to communication our expectations and reinforce our messages to the Producer.Coordinate meetings among stakeholders to remove risk or roadblocks in a timely matter.Perform visits to the manufacturing sites of the partners as well as to its sub-tiers to understand potential risks to the program and provide technical support as required in accordance to PWC process and procedures in alignment with the Industrial team, in order to secure the Production Readiness Process Milestones.Support meetings among stakeholders to remove risk or roadblocks in a timely matter related to manufacturing matters at partner site .Influence the producers on the big/important issues and drive for alignment between the partiesLiaise with Procurement Responsible for alignment on tasks.Use their expert knowledge and leadership to drive issues, identified as theirs, towards conclusion to ultimately drive OTDLiaise daily basis with the Project Engineer to understand current issues and provide them with visibility of the activity at the partner side.Drive and Lead the Production Readiness Process and all Operations Program Tasks related to the producer.Support Senior Management Meetings on demandBe aware of the technical and operations issues in order to analyze the impacts on supply chain performance of the partner and highlight critical issues that could affect Entry Into Production.Drive Production Readiness Process Events and tasks.Monitor Export control compliance.Qualification RequiredPreferred Educational Background & Experience: Aerospace Engineering degree or equivalent with relevant experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering along with a solid understanding of overall engine program requirements and priorities.Solid knowledge on Aerospace manufacturing processes for engine components (Castings, Forging, Machining, etc).Familiar with APQP and MRL (Manufacturing Readiness Level) concepts .Familiar with Aircraft Engine architecture.Familiar with the Aerospace Manufacturing industry in JapanGood negotiating and communication skills (written and oral) in English and Japanese are prerequisite.Candidate must be adaptable, self-motivated and have demonstrated abilities in working effectively under aggressive project timelines with international partners in different time zones.Demonstrated leadership, autonomous, proactive and takes initiative, strong team player.Knowledgeable on excel (Reports, data, action plans, etc)Previous experience in off-site program management functionBachelor degree with more than 10 years of experienceMaster degree with more than 7 years of experience.Field of studies: Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, EngineeringAdditional Information:The position will required overseas travel (Canada, Europe) based on programs need.The position will required weekly travel to Nagoya and Yasugi.RTX adheres to the principles of equal employment. Required Qualifications
