The ME Team uses state-of the-art tools, processes, technology, and Raytheon’s Six Sigma principles. ME’s capabilities encompass a broad range of technical disciplines which include engineering, manufacturing, technical services, materials, processes, analysis, test, and documentation.The Air Defense Ground Equipment Mechanical Design Department is responsible for the mechanical design, development, and integration of critical defense platform systems.This includes radar and communications shelters, electronic subsystems, launchers, hardware integration, and system interconnects.The ADGE department is looking for a full-time Principal Mechanical Engineer – Patriot PAC-2 Canister Engineer which is responsible for Patriot PAC-2 GEM-T Missile Canister Assembly & Test.This is a remote role.What You Will DoServe as one of the primary Raytheon engineering representatives to Patriot PAC-2 Missile Canister sites, working occasionally embedded in the sitesHands On "Working Lead" while on-siteWillingness to travel frequently at times to the current Canister supplier in West Plains, MO and a future supplier Zahid in Jeddah, KSAInterface with other engineering disciplines, non-technical disciplines, and suppliers to develop design solutions and resolve technical challengesWork with limited supervision and meet commitments for assigned schedule, financial, and technical goalsSupport and participate in resolving issues and conduct trade studies to make sound technical decisions.Apply knowledge and experience in technical problem solving and hardware development in a fast paced, team environmentA Creative Problem SolverExperienced in Supplier development Qualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience.​Experience in supplier support and developmentExperience using CREO CAD design and documentation toolsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Power Point/Project)Preferred Qualifications:Experience in International supplier support or developmentAdvanced degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or hardware systems designWorking knowledge of Military and Commercial SpecificationsExperience with the Patriot PAC-2 Canister designReliability or failure analysis experienceAbility to achieve results with a minimum of conflicts and within scheduleDemonstrated team player, self-driven leader with excellent collaboration skills.Excellent communication, technical writing, presentation, and interpersonal skillsExperience with PDM or similar product data management toolFamiliarity with Configuration and Data ManagementWhat We OfferOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
