Job Description

This position is responsible for managing production processes to ensure attainment of established goals for the facility, division, and Company. This role is responsible for supporting attainment of the operational goals in the production area through the implementation of the company's vision and strategy. This role supports site production, quality, safety, and compliance efforts through continuous improvement activities to ensure all requirements are completed in a timely manner and provides direct management of production supervisors.Additional Information:Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 4:00PM (Hours will vary based on business needs)5% TravelThis position is also eligible for a bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans. Job duties include contact with other employees and access to confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company’s staff, employees, and business relationships. Provide direct leadership to production supervisors Accountable for production and shipping schedules, maintaining quality, controlling manufacturing costs, and promoting good employee and community relationshipsAnalyze and plan for production workforce requirementsDevelop and implement operational policies and proceduresEnsure effective and safe use of manufacturing equipmentSupport facility safety initiativesMonitor quality and productivity to ensure service and cost objectives are metManage employee training, development, performance management, and corrective actionConduct regular communication meetings with workforce to enhance BMS (Business Management System) and Operational Excellence Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects Minimum Requirements:Must be at least eighteen (18) years of ageMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the futureMust have completed formal training in and/or have at least one (1) year of work experience applying continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc.Must have a bachelor's degree or higher or have at least four (4) years of work experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility or in an operations environment Must have at least two (2) years of experience working in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility or in an operations environment Preferred Qualifications:Have at least one (1) year of experience in leadership role(s), supervising others, or leading teams Have Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.)Have at least three (3) years of experience working in a manufacturing and/or distribution facilityHave prior work experience using timekeeping and/or production control systemsHave prior work experience using a safety management systemHave previous work experience in a multi-shift operation#SHWOps
