Job Description

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:Regional Continuous Improvement Project Planning and ExecutionPlan and execute regional strategy to achieve continuous improvement goals.Champion OPEX Standards and ensuring continuous improvement throughout region.Identify and lead portfolio of strategic initiatives and projects that positively impact business results. Develops and maintains relationships with internal or external partners to advance continuous improvement methodology and deployment.Propose and meet OP16 regional targets.Propose and meet regional strategic initiative targets (Opportunity Cost, Productivity, Hidden Factory, Capacity, Sustainability, Future of Work, etc.) Collaborate with regional finance to identify high value opportunities, align resources and approach to impact positive results.Responsible for supported region’s project portfolioLead, execute, and support continuous improvement projects that deliver business results.Coach site leadership and site continuous improvement leaders on effective deployment of Lean Six Sigma tools.Identify and develop regional talent to drive a continuous improvement culture.Champion projects with high level of ambiguity.Guide and direct regional Black Belts, Green Belts and Champions in effective leadership, project execution and timely certifications Facilitate the validation of performance/financial results and long-term sustainability of the region’s continuous improvement projects.Facilitate monthly calls to ensure all site project leads are providing regular status updates and progressing towards project completion. Standard Work Program Support and ExecutionPropose and meet regional standard work goals.Coach site leadership on effective execution of Standard Work requirementsCertify site compliance to Standard Work program and audit sites for compliance to certifications already achieved.Train site teams on all aspects of Standard Work (Takt, SOP, Kaizen and 5S)Promote a Kaizen Culture throughout the regionLead and participate in Kaizen events at sites; conduct Kaizen training (including General Kaizen, SMED, Visual Factory, FMEA, 5S, etc). Travel Requirement: Up to 30%Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company’s staff, employees, and business relationships.This position is also eligible for bonus and long-term incentive compensation awards based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans. POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Required:Bachelor degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering, chemistry or equivalent field5 years continuous improvement or manufacturing/engineering/quality/technical experience.Throughout career has experience in the following:The Sherwin-Williams Continuous Improvement System (Design, Re Design, and Process Improvement)Demonstrated organizational leadership and influence.Ability to apply industrial statistics.Capability to convey technical & operational concepts multiple levels within organization.Demonstrated communication and presentation skills to multiple levels within organization levels.Comprehensive knowledge of continuous improvement tool setPreferred:Advanced Technical Degree or MBA. Experience working in Polymer and Packaging Region or other reactive chemistry experience Experience working with a PSM facilityPrevious management experienceExperience working with EMEAI sites

Required Qualifications

  • The Sherwin-Williams Continuous Improvement System (Design, Re Design, and Process Improvement) (experience)
  • Demonstrated organizational leadership and influence. (experience)
  • Ability to apply industrial statistics. (experience)
  • Capability to convey technical & operational concepts multiple levels within organization. (experience)
  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills to multiple levels within organization levels. (experience)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of continuous improvement tool set (experience)
  • Advanced Technical Degree or MBA. (degree in mba)
  • Experience working in Polymer and Packaging Region or other reactive chemistry experience (experience)
  • Experience working with a PSM facility (experience)
  • Previous management experience (experience)
  • Experience working with EMEAI sites (experience)
