Work Flexibility: Field-basedLead Stryker’s Sports Medicine business across Northern Italy and shape the next phase of growth within a highly strategic market. As Senior Regional Sales Manager, you will combine commercial ownership with hands-on field leadership, developing an experienced sales team, strengthening customer partnerships, and expanding access to innovative technologies that support sports medicine procedures.Sports Medicine: Sports Medicine | StrykerWhat you will doLead, coach, and develop a regional sales team across Northern Italy, establishing clear expectations and building an accountable, inclusive, and collaborative performance culture.Own regional commercial performance against quarterly and annual sales targets, including forecasting, pipeline development, and financial planning.Develop and execute regional business plans to accelerate sustainable growth, expand existing accounts, and identify new customer opportunities.Build strategic relationships with surgeons, healthcare professionals, hospital decision-makers, procurement teams, and other key stakeholders.Lead complex sales cycles involving multiple clinical and commercial decision-makers, maintaining visibility of opportunities from initial engagement through implementation.Manage and support direct sales resources and indirect commercial channels, including agents, to optimise territory coverage and performance.Analyse sales, pipeline, customer, and market data to identify performance gaps and implement targeted actions to improve results.Partner across commercial and operational functions, contribute to strategic initiatives in Italy and Europe, share best practices across the leadership team, and act as delegate for the Business Unit Manager when required.What you will needRequired qualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent higher education qualification.Minimum 10 years of overall professional experience, including significant experience within sales, commercial, or business roles.Minimum 4 years of professional experience directly leading and developing successful sales teams.Professional working proficiency in Italian.Working proficiency in English.Valid driving licence.Preferred qualificationsPrevious sales leadership experience within medical devices, Sports Medicine, orthopaedic implants, surgical technologies, or operating room environments.Previous experience managing complex sales cycles, indirect sales channels, or capital equipment sales.Additional InformationTerritory: Northern Italy.Location: Based in a major city in Northern Italy, with Milan preferred.Work arrangement: Field-based.Travel: Approximately 70% across the assigned region.Customer presence: Regular on-site presence with customers and within operating room environments is required.At Stryker, you will have the opportunity to lead a strategically important business while developing people and strengthening our position within Sports Medicine.
