Job Description:3M is seeking Coating Operator candidates in Rockland, MA!Pay starting: $26.10 + Shift Differentials Shifts available: Weekend Day Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Weekend Night Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AMNew hires start with 3 weeks paid vacationHealth, vision and dental start day oneEmployee stock discount401K Match of 5%Our plant operates 24/7 so we have multiple shifts available, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, 12-hour shifts, etc. Note - If you are selected for an overnight, evening or weekend shift, you may be brought onto a different shift initially for training purposes before starting on your actual shift. Here, you will make an impact by:Ensure the efficient setup and production of quality material on their assigned coating lineResponsible for coordinating job changeovers, monitoring the master control panel, and accurately recording and entering production data, including test resultsProvide guidance and instruction to personnel on the line as neededComplete accurately and in a timely manner, all required production reports and quality data entries utilizing PMCS/OPRA and designated softwareReview Manufacturing Order schedule and prepare/plan for upcoming production runsLead and coordinate production runs to meet targets based on job specifications and work instructionsPromote and maintain a safe working environment at all timesMaintain housekeeping at machine areas according to established standardsMaster all controls and consoles related to the whole operation on the lineBe proficient in web handling and alignment, coat weight variables, tension control, all coating methods, NDC scanners, web drying settings, and safety controlsMonitor and document productivity results as well as reason for misses utilizing designated tools toYour Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher completed and verified prior to startMinimum one (1) year of plant and/or manufacturing experience in a public, private, government, or military environmentApplicants meeting the basic qualifications above may be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as a part of the selection process.Work location: Onsite – Rockland, MA.Relocation Assistance: Not AuthorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
