Here, you will make an impact by:Responsible for providing effective leadership, support and solutions for a wide variety of new or existing process equipment that is used to manufacture 3M products. Maintenance and overall reliability for the entire site operations with a goal of continuously driving improvements while increasing overall throughput.Provide leadership and management for the 3M Tonawanda Plant Engineering maintenance organization, including equipment maintenance, reliability and uptime, utilities operations, stockroom, buildings and grounds and coordination of maintenance contractors.Foster teamwork within plant engineering and across other staff groups to prevent breakdowns, reduce cycle time, increase runtime, minimize waste, conserve energy, continually improve the quality of operations, and control costs.Assure compliance with company policies, government and regulatory agency laws, regulations, and codes.Ability to work 2nd or 3rd Shift.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:High school diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start).Three (3) years of team lead and/or supervisory experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Five (5) years or more of maintenance experience.Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science discipline from an accredited university.Five (5) years combined engineering process, technology or manufacturing experience.Project management experience.Experience with Microsoft Office.Works well on cross-functional teams in a continuous improvement (LEAN) environment.Excellent organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.Strong oral and written communication skills.Location: Tonawanda, New YorkTravel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
