As a MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.Troubleshoot/repair mechanical equipment and components, hydraulic/pneumatic equipment, electrical equipment, web handling systems, pumps, etc.Implement and improve preventive maintenance proceduresDetermines parts, tools, and supplies necessary for the jobsSupporting management with scrutiny of all maintenance spending and proper parts inventoryEnsure all machine tool equipment is maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s specificationsYour Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications.Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this 3M Production role, in compliance with U.S. labor and safety laws.Possess a Two (2) year Technical Degree/Diploma or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in a Mechanical Discipline from an accredited institution.Three (3) years of experience installing, diagnosing and repairing high speed assembly and/or automated packaging machinery in a manufacturing environment.Three (3) years of experience diagnosing and repairing electrical power supply, machine control device, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment(s) in a manufacturing environment.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Three (3) years of Industrial Maintenance experienceAbility to perform basic machining, fabrication, welding, pipe fitting, and millwright tasksApplicants who meet the basic qualifications above will be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as a part of the selection process.Work Location: 3M INDIANAPOLISTravel: NoneRelocation Assistance: N/AMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Pay Transparency: The starting rate of pay for this position is $36.78 This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
