This strategy professional will collaborate closely with leadership as an internal strategic resource supporting critical global initiatives, influencing the development, communication, and execution of 3M’s strategic plan while enhancing the corporate portfolio to expand and evolve market offerings. Here, you will make an impact by:Lead strategic initiatives sponsored by the CEO, CFO, Chief Strategy Officer, and other Operating Committee membersLead corporate portfolio management projects focused on value creation and growth through resource allocation, business creation, and M&ASupport the corporate strategic planning process, including executive and Board-level strategy formulation, business case development and deck creationTrack industry and competitive trends, and develop business outlook and forecastsDevelop rigorous, fact-based, quantitative analysis to support recommendationsEnsure strategic and financial soundness and alignment for any recommendationsYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)Five (5) years of strategy experience in a private, public, government, or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Three (3) years of experience at a leading strategy consulting firm or similar corporate strategy roleMaster’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionProven track record in providing novel and innovative solutions to complex or difficult strategic issuesDemonstrated leadership ability – proven track record of leading high impact projects and cross-functional teamsAction-oriented, with emphasis on execution and results rather than theoryAbility to independently lead and manage projects with multiple work streams, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of functional business problemsMust be able to interact with senior executives and handle high-pressure settings with confidenceHands-on, self-starter, team-oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexibleExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSuperior analytical and problem-solving skills, including solid understanding of financial and statistical analysisSignificant experience with MS PowerPoint and ExcelExperienced with advanced analytics tools (e.g. Tableau) is a plusWork location:Hybrid Eligible: Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Maplewood, MN at least 4 days per week (Monday - Thursday)Maplewood, MNTravel: May include up to 15% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
