Here, you will make an impact by:Leading a cross-functional team of scientists, engineers, and business personnel to define areas of opportunity, value proposition, technical approaches, intellectual property, and manufacturing options ultimately leading to successful commercialization. Being accountable for maintaining project schedule, scope, deliverables, budget, risk management, stakeholder/customer communication and approvals, and other key project deliverables.Providing task-level guidance to team members as necessary and using influence to lead the team in identifying key milestones and driving decisions to closure. Having expertise in technical functional areas sufficient to carry out leadership duties, contribute to advancement of the team, and to effectively leverage a network of company resources.Training, coaching, and supporting project leaders and team members in project management best practices, while helping strengthen project management capability across the business.Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionEight (8) years of project management and/or team leadership experience in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering or Science discipline from an accredited institutionNew product development experienceExperience with New Product Introduction Process and Executing Gate ReviewsConsumer product development experienceExcellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation)Ability to influence including clarifying risks and opportunities with stakeholdersExperience leading global cross-functional teamsProficiency in Microsoft Office and ProjectProject Management Institute’s Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationWork location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation: Not AuthorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
