This role partners with Finance, IT, and cross-functional teams to deliver stable, scalable, and standardized solutions that support financial close, reporting, and process improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the SME for RTR processes within SAP S/4HANA FinancePartner with Finance stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into system solutionsSupport key RTR areas including: -General LedgerFixed Assets and ProjectsIntercompanyJournal entriesFinancial reportingTreasury and bankingTax and complianceSupport SAP S/4HANA enhancements, implementations, upgrades, and process improvementsParticipate in process design, fit-gap analysis, testing, defect resolution, and production supportCoordinate with IT, SAP support teams, and business users to resolve issues and deliver enhancementsDrive process standardization, simplification, and automation across RTRCreate and maintain business requirements, test scripts, process documentation, and training materialsSupport user adoption, change management, and ongoing system optimizationYour Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business (completed and verified prior to start) Seven (7) years of technical experience in Finance, ERP systems, or IT business analysis in a private, public, government or military environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Strong experience in Record to Report processes and financial close activitiesHands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance in RTR-related functionsExperience supporting SAP implementations, upgrades, or transformation initiativesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skillsStrong understanding of finance process integration, testing, and incident managementAbility to work effectively across business and technical teamsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience with SAP S/4HANA areas such as General Ledger, Asset Accounting, and IntercompanyFamiliarity with SAP FioriExperience in global process standardization or finance transformation projectsKnowledge of financial controls, reporting structures, and close optimization toolsSAP or finance-related certification is a plusWork location: Work location: Maplewood, MN or Austin, TX Travel: May include up to 15% domestic/internationalRelocation: Is not authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
