Here, you will make an impact by:Monitor, operate, interpret, and interact with multiple technical tools to detect threats and risks to 3M’s personnel, assets, and reputation globally.Manage incidents and emergency situations, including the execution of procedures, coordination of resources, and on-scene responseMonitor and evaluate global geopolitical issues that could affect business operations or the security of personnel and assets, including terrorism, violent crime, natural disasters, travel issues, criminal trends, civil unrest, and workplace violenceAssist in maintaining, populating, and evaluating intelligence databases and sourcesConduct regular monitoring of online open source intelligence, social media platforms, the darkweb, and vendor tools for known and potential threats to 3M locations, employees, travelers, or assets and emerging incidentsProvide professional and effective customer service to global internal and external customersPerform campus and building security patrolsComplete incident and activity reports in a clear and concise mannerComplete training for basic First Aid/CPR and AEDProvide escorts to employees and visitors, as necessaryCarry out all job duties and responsibilities in compliance with corporate policies and departmental procedures and standardsPerform other related duties, as requiredYour Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)Two (2) years of experience in a security-related role in a private, public or military environmentCurrent, valid Driver’s License.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Experience in a GSOC environmentAbility to work a rotating 12-hour night shift schedule, including 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. shifts on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during one week, followed by Wednesday and Thursday during the second week.Advanced security certificationsBilingual skillsStrong communication and customer service skills, including ability respond in a professional and courteous manner to all requests for assistance from employees, customers, and visitorsMeticulous attention to detail, grammar, and styleUses good judgment and proven ability to work with highly confidential informationAbility to lift and carry at least 35 pounds of emergency equipmentFlexibility and ability to work all shifts (24/7 operations), willingness to work overtime, as neededStrong computer and security technology skills and comfortable with a changing high-tech work environmentStrong interpersonal and listening skills; a great degree of emotional intelligence and maturityA strong team player with the ability to work independently, as neededA quick learner with the ability to multi-taskAbility to build successful internal and external relationships and networks across cultures and industriesWork location:This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MNTravel: May include up to 5% domestic.Relocation Assistance: Is not authorized Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
