When we come together – where every voice is heard and everyone knows they belong and matter – we create solutions that launch people into space, support lifesaving care in hospitals, and enable the construction of groundbreaking, world scale production facilities.Reimagine What’s Possible Principal AccountabilitiesManage and perform various aspects of piping design including piping arrangement drawing, Isometric drawing, piping list, BOM preparation, piping support drawing, piping insulation standard etc. Coordinate and communicate technical issues among various groups including AP Shanghai engineering centers and Local Design InstituteReview and feedback piping basic and detail design drawing and spec completed by LDI or vendorsUnderstanding AP engineering piping standard, spec and international industry piping engineering code and local codeSupport project proposal estimation, project execution, commissioning and start up as requestedSupport on site piping construction for technical issues and provide resolution suggestionMaintain and develop piping design work process, ensure it be implemented appropriately.Acts as a consultant in piping/equipment arrangement engineering areas of expertise.Determine design strategy, Consults on engineering codes and principles. Participate in project execution and commercial strategies on multiple projects.Establish project piping design plan and schedule, report design status and issues, ensure the schedule be met with good quality deliverables.Leads in problem solving on significant issuesContributes to development of AP standards and procedures.Work closely with proposal development engineers (PDE) and commercial people to support new bidding opportunities timely and efficiently.Track all detailed design lessons learned and lead action teams to develop required improvementsCoordinate plot plan design review meeting and related design issue tracking & closeoutCoordinate design field support and FCR / DCN / CCOProviding support to other AP engineering centers as workload requires.Recommended Skills and Experience5+ years experience in Piping Engineering for Gas, Chemical ,Petrochemical or underground pipeline with Design institute or engineering company.Good communication and coordination skills.Be able to travel to site as required.Skillful in piping design tools, such as AutoCAD, PDS, and Ravit.Well understand Taiwan local and international piping engineering standards and design codes.Well understand piping design, check and approve procedure as well as interface with other functions and disciplines;Founded in 1940, Air Products is a world-leading industrial gases company and has a proud history of innovation, operational excellence, with an unwavering commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
