Lead safety for the construction and launch of a state of the art manufacturing facility, shaping how safety is built into the operation from the ground up. Key job responsibilities This role serves as the primary Safety subject matter expert and strategic partner for construction leadership, contractors, engineering teams, operations, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. The Construction Safety Manager will develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive construction safety programs designed to identify hazards early, reduce or eliminate risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and establish a strong safety culture from initial construction through operational readiness. A day in the life As an AMS Construction Safety Manager, you’ll be where the action is—partnering with construction leaders, engineers, contractors, and operations teams to solve complex safety challenges. Your day may include walking active construction sites, evaluating high-risk work, reviewing equipment installations, leading risk assessments, or developing solutions that keep projects moving safely. You’ll influence critical decisions, eliminate hazards before they reach production, and build the programs and mechanisms that will support the facility for years to come. Most importantly, you’ll help build the Safety team and culture you’ll ultimately lead as the facility transitions from construction to full manufacturing operations.
