AWS Cloud Logistics (ACL) is looking for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to own and drive day-to-day operations at a Regional Distribution Centre (RDC). This role takes ownership of end-to-end warehouse operations — managing vendor performance, driving operational excellence, and ensuring service levels are met in a fast-paced environment supporting local ODM partners and regional supply chain nodes. This is a high-impact, on-the-ground role demanding equal parts operational rigor and strategic thinking. Operating as the primary point of contact for the RDC facility — managing the Warehouse Service Provider (WSP), coordinating with ODMs and suppliers, and ensuring inbound/outbound flows run seamlessly. Defining what good looks like for warehouse performance, building mechanisms to sustain it, and driving accountability across internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate has deep experience in VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) warehouse operations, strong knowledge of local regulatory environments (customs, transportation, bonded warehousing, and Free Trade Zone requirements), and the ability to operate independently in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment. Comfortable managing high-value inventory at scale, navigating regulatory complexity, and building durable operational frameworks where none exist today. Key job responsibilities - Own day-to-day RDC warehouse operations — inbound/outbound coordination, inventory management, cycle counts, and exception handling - Manage WSP performance against contractual SLAs through structured business reviews and escalation management - Coordinate with local ODMs and suppliers on scheduling, inventory, and shipment planning - Maintain and optimize KPIs and operational metrics (WBR/MBR) to track performance and drive continuous improvement - Manage escalations through Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and effective stakeholder communication - Navigate local regulations relating to transportation, customs, bonded warehousing, and Free Trade Zone (FTZ) requirements - Support new site launch activities including racking, layout planning, system go-live, and LSP onboarding - Coordinate cross-border shipment logistics with customs brokers and freight forwarders - Develop and review SOPs to streamline workflow and drive inventory accuracy - Collaborate with cross-functional teams — procurement, supply management, transportation, and customs brokerage - Mitigate operational risk and develop Business Continuity Planning (BCP) for the facility A day in the life - Assess warehouse operational health — triaging inbound delays, escalating WSP performance issues, and re-prioritizing work based on delivery schedules and business urgency - Coordinate across procurement, transportation, and customs teams to unblock shipment flows - Pull data from internal systems (WMS, inventory platforms, shipment databases) to build consolidated performance views and report progress in WBR/MBR formats - Lead stakeholder meetings with WSP, ODMs, and internal teams — setting expectations, tracking commitments, and driving accountability - Identify patterns in cycle times, inventory accuracy, and vendor compliance data to propose process improvements - Partner with regional counterparts to standardize processes and share best practices across the RDC network About the team AWS Cloud Logistics manages a continuously evolving portfolio of shipments and warehousing operations through a worldwide supply chain — delivering the right product at the right time, cost, and place.
