Job overview: The Factory PQE is responsible for NPI and sustaining quality at contract manufacturers for products throughout their product lifecycles. The ideal candidate manages several high priority activities from QMS oversight to statistical quality control processes to issue management. This role relies heavily on strong quality assessments within the manufacturing site but also with suppliers, ensuring durable root causes are understood and mitigated. Key job responsibilities What you'll do: • Lead comprehensive management of production quality processes including IQC, IPQC, OBA, and OQC across NPI builds and mass production. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure pFMEA, process flows, and quality control plans are well managed prior to each NPI build phase. • Contribute to the product quality criteria and determine if the product meets expectations from each build phase. • Work independently and with project team members to develop, control, and deliver quality plans, manufacturing documentation, inspection documentation, and test metrology. • Perform and lead root cause analyses for complex quality issues, developing robust corrective and preventive actions (CAPA and CAR). • Drive factory escape containment and resolution; support field failure analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence. • Facilitate Contract Manufacturer (CM) audits focused on QMS, ESD control, and product-specific requirements, ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented. • Review and disposition non-conforming materials and drive associated corrective actions as required. • Contribute to final product release activities in accordance with established procedures, production schedules and gate exit requirements. • Monitor supplier quality performance and incoming material quality; drive improvements through data analysis and supplier engagement. • Drive quality metrics, reporting, and communication for NPI builds and sustaining programs. • Drive respective teams responsible for issues until a decision or solution is reached. • Track issue and task progress in JIRA and manage changes through a PLM system (e.g., Arena). • Work closely with CM DRIs to review potential improvements to address quality issues and risks. •Identify and implement quality process improvements, best practices, and automation opportunities.
