Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is Amazon's "Last Mile" delivery service, responsible for delivering packages (and smiles) to households/businesses across the planet. Our Global Fleet & Products (GFP) team defines the path forward for this rapidly expanding business by building the safest and most sustainable fleet of last mile delivery vehicles. Within this dynamic ecosystem, we are the Finance Center of Excellence (FCE) - a specialized team that sits at the intersection of innovative supply chain and financial excellence. Our work directly impacts Amazon's ability to deliver millions of packages daily while maintaining our commitment to becoming the Earth's most sustainable delivery fleet. Fleet Finance Center of Excellence is seeking a Finance Manager to partner with various teams as we build standardized reporting solutions and automation to improve Fleet planning speed, quality and cost structure. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following abilities: they have strong financial modeling skills, technical aptitude to analyze large data sets, clearly communicate financial data analysis findings with stakeholders, support thoughtful decision-making, and adapt to a rapidly-evolving environment. They collaborate with leaders and various business units across Amazon. A typical day in this role provides an opportunity to innovate by building creative solutions with large-scale data mining tools, identifying the high-priority work and projects that maximize results for key stakeholders, and solving complex problems that effect company-wide strategic decisions. Candidates should demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills as direct interaction with leadership is common. As a member of a growing team, you will deal with a high level of ambiguity and changing priorities. The successful candidate will maneuver through the ambiguity, communicate effectively across teams and levels, while balancing the needs and requirements of internal and external customers. Flexibility and the ability to prioritize in a changing business environment will also be key. Key job responsibilities Financial Analysis - Build comprehensive financial models and analyses independently, leveraging business acumen to deliver actionable recommendations and drive improvements - Manage development of forecasting and reporting models, ensuring continuous innovation and effective communication with Financial and Operations partners - Identify and resolve complex data integrity issues through stakeholder collaboration while maintaining highest standards - Build effective business partnerships, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance during unexpected situations Business Analysis - Identify and implement solutions to finance issues, improving and simplifying finance tools, technology, and processes across organizations - Demonstrate thorough understanding of financial data flows, select appropriate data for analysis, and establish reliable sources of truth - Streamline and centralize process improvements and reporting to enable swift action by business partners and customers - Share best practices across regions to support efficient last-mile presence expansion - Collaborate with business leaders, product managers, program managers, and DSP Program org counterparts People - Participate in hiring and development activities, including mentoring new team members - Demonstrate backbone by appropriately challenging business partner plans and assumptions - Communicate data clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing - Effectively explain complex financial issues to non-Finance partners - Contribute positively to team work/life harmony and develop creative solutions for team challenges Success in Role - Demonstrate strong customer obsession to understand and meet customer needs - Invent innovative solutions to support customers - Exhibit strong project management and communication skills - Influence business owners and support thoughtful decision-making - Adapt effectively to rapidly evolving environment - Drive innovation through creative problem-solving for customers

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science) (degree in finance)
  • 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experience (experience, 5 years)

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA (experience)
  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience (experience, 6 years)
  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience (experience, 6 years)
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL (experience)
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) (experience)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results (experience)
