Job Description
Amazon is seeking Maintenance Technician to join our Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team at our site in Jandakot, Perth As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll keep our site operating safely and efficiently by maintaining and repairing material handling equipment, automated packaging, and distribution machinery. You’ll respond to breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, and implement long-term improvements to reduce downtime. We are hiring day shift positions, working on a 4-day roster (10-hour shifts) including one weekend day. These roles are entitled to annual leave and penalty rates where applicable. Required Qualifications
- Formal Trade Qualifications: Certificate lll in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license or Cert lll in Engineering OR Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, equivalent trade qualifications formally recognised in Australia. (experience)
- Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems (experience)
- Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems (experience)
- Ability to read and understand electrical /mechanical drawings (experience)
- Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters (experience)
- Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CMMS systems (experience)
- Experience with sortation machines (experience)
- Experience with maintaining/configuring bar code scanners (experience)
- Experience with print and apply machines (experience)
