Job Description

Amazon has established itself as a globally recognized leading company by continuously offering hundreds of millions of products to customers worldwide. To remain "Earth's most customer-centric company," Amazon constantly improves and innovates, seeking experienced professionals who can contribute to these efforts. The Japan Procurement division (JP Procurement) of the Global Procurement Organization's Asia Pacific Procurement Headquarters is a core unit in Japan working on building, executing, and improving procurement processes. JP Procurement's mission is to continuously enhance "product model selection," "low prices," and "convenience" by collaborating with the Global Procurement Organization (GPO), Asia Pacific (APAC: India, Australia, Singapore) procurement divisions, engineering departments, operations departments, and finance departments. The excitement and essence of the work lie in procurement professionals from various specialized fields engaging in discussions across borders to propose the best procurement/logistics solutions, which directly contribute to the company and customers through cost savings within months. We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the execution of ONECHAIN, Amazon's Global Procurement End-to-End Supply Chain Management transformation program. This role will drive the strategic shift from fragmented, intermediary-dependent sourcing to integrated supply chain ownership, beginning with the APAC Packaging and Equipment model case and scaling globally. The Program Manager will orchestrate cross-pillar and cross-regional collaboration, manage phased deployment of the Supply Chain Hub model, and ensure milestone-gated accountability across technology integration, supplier development, and logistics optimization workstreams. The ideal candidate combines deep supply chain expertise with proven program management capabilities in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, and thrives in ambiguity while delivering measurable financial outcomes including targeted cost reductions through intermediary margin elimination and origin-based consolidation. At Amazon, you'll work alongside the latest AI and GenAI tools that are increasingly woven into how teams operate: from AI-powered capabilities that accelerate decision-making, to Generative AI that helps you focus on work that truly matters. You'll have opportunities and resources to develop AI fluency at your own pace, with continuous learning built into the culture. Key job responsibilities • Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies for APAC, and drive continuous improvement post-implementation • Execute end-to-end supply chain activities for various procurement projects/tasks, including cost estimation, logistics supplier selection, RFQ/RFP preparation, price negotiation, contracting, ordering, delivery management, cost analysis, and VA/VE activities • Collaborate with Global Teams such as GPO to conduct supplier evaluations, promote supplier growth, and build a robust supply chain network aligned with Amazon's growth strategy • Partner with domestic and international suppliers to optimize the supply chain, expand capacity, improve flexibility to demand fluctuations, and manage risks • Communicate and negotiate with suppliers to realize an efficient supply chain within short timeframes • Maximize global scale advantages by identifying and leveraging best practices, innovative ideas, and excellent suppliers from each region
