Amazon’s Selection Monitoring team is responsible for making the biggest catalog on the planet even bigger. Our systems process billions of products to algorithmically find products not already sold on Amazon and programmatically add them to the Amazon catalog. We apply distributed processing, machine learning and LLMs to identify and prioritize products and brands we should add to Amazon’s catalog. We are looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) to tackle difficult problems in the areas of distributed systems, efficient large-scale data processing, data dependency and flow control systems, flexible and serverless compute with impact across Amazon. Key job responsibilities Partner with Principal Engineers, Sr.SDEs, and Product and Applied Scientists to define build systems for Selection Monitoring’s mission-critical systems driving the brand and product experience on Amazon. Deliver and own scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available services that underpin our large-scale data processing solutions. Develop solutions to efficiently deploy and orchestrate hundreds of application flows across a hybrid set of compute environments. Build solutions using LLMs and ML models. Drive operational excellence initiative and continuously improve quality bar for software delivered by the team.
