Job Description
Are you excited to build the customer-facing experience for Amazon Promotions? Do you want to write code for highly-visible, scalable systems that serve millions of customers every day? The Deals & Promotions team is at the center of Amazon's retail business, and we are on a mission to create a world-class promotions experience for our customers. As a Sr Software Development Engineer on this team, you will be a key contributor to our most critical projects. You will own the design, implementation, and deployment of features and services that shape the Amazon Promotions experience. We are looking for a customer-focused engineer who is comfortable working through ambiguity, has a passion for building high-quality, robust software, and enjoys the challenge of working at a massive scale.

Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience (experience, 3 years)
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience (experience, 2 years)
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience (experience, 1 years)
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience (experience, 1 years)
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience (experience, 1 years)
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (degree in foreign equivalent in computer science)
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience (experience, 3 years)
