At AWS Enterprise Support we’re looking for a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to support our customers’ creative and transformative spirit of innovation across all technologies, including Compute, Storage, Database, Big Data, Application-level services, Networking, Serverless and more. This is not a sales role, but rather an opportunity to be the principal technical advisor and ‘voice of the customer’. You will provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using best practices, and proactively keep your customers’ AWS environments operationally healthy. The close relationships developed with your customers will allow you to understand their business/operational needs and technical challenges, and help them achieve the greatest value from AWS. Your technical acumen and customer-facing skills will enable you to effectively represent AWS within a customer’s environment, and drive technical discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents, trade-offs, proactive scope and risk management. Key job responsibilities - The TAM role is not directly hands on keyboard within the customer's environment for troubleshooting customer support issues, rather you will work with appropriate engineers and service teams to see issues through to resolution. - Work proactively to help craft and execute strategies to drive our customers' adoption and use of AWS services, including EC2, S3, DynamoDB & RDS databases, Lambda, CloudFront CDN, IoT, and many more. - Effectively represent AWS within a customer's environment leveraging your technical acumen and customer-facing skills. - Drive discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents, trade-offs, support and risk management. A day in the life You will provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using best practices, and proactively keep your customers’ AWS environments operationally healthy. This position will require the ability to travel 10% or more as needed. The TAM is the centerpiece of value to our Enterprise Support customers. Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for four (4) of the following: Compute / Storage / Networking / DevOps / Database / Big Data and Analytics / Security / Serverless / Applications Development in a distributed systems environment (experience, 7 years)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related discipline and 7+ years of equivalent work experience, or 9+ years of related work experience. (experience, 7 years)
  • Able to communicate effectively in Portuguese, Spanish, and English within technical and business settings. (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in external enterprise customer-facing role as a technical lead, with strong oral and written communication skills, presenting to both large and small audiences (experience)
  • Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment (experience)
  • Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings (experience)
  • Experience in mentoring, leading and coaching (experience)
  • Experience (3+ years) in the Financial Services industry (experience, 3 years)
  • Professional oral and written communication skills, presenting to an audience containing one or more executive team member(s) (experience)
  • Experience in Informational Technology operations (experience)
