Sustaining that inventive edge requires more than great science; it requires that discoveries travel fast, land with impact, and compound into new ideas and experimentation across the organization. The Senior Product Marketing Manager will support the strategy and execution for how Amazon's scientific breakthroughs are communicated, celebrated, and activated — internally and externally. This leader will support the event and community strategy that bridges world-class researchers and the broader Amazon ecosystem, ensuring that high-impact science accelerates product innovation, strengthens Amazon's reputation as a research destination, and drives measurable business outcomes. Key job responsibilities Events Strategy & Management - Own end-to-end planning and execution of internal and external science events and showcases - Drive continuous improvement in event strategy and business impact through playbook development, measurement, and feedback loops - Ensure operational excellence across all events through rigorous project management, risk mitigation, quality control, and contingency planning - Build and maintain strong partnerships with cross-organizational events teams - Develop and manage event budgets with demonstrated fiscal responsibility and ROI optimization - Manage relationships with vendors - Define audience segmentation and develop tailored engagement strategies that resonate with researchers, engineers, business leaders, and external partners. Marketing & Communications - Develop domain expertise and community connections to support speaker selection, amplification, and reputational opportunities. - Organize cross-company mechanisms to drive for better collaboration and amplification of science internally and externally. Operational Excellence - Build project management best practices that can support and scale team excellence. - Monitor the science marketing and events landscape to surface opportunities and risks relevant to Amazon's scientific communities.

157,100 - 212,600 USD / yearly

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience (experience, 6 years)
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements (experience)
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) (experience)
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs (experience)
  • Experience leading go-to-market for consumer software or hardware product launches (experience)
  • Experience managing events/meetings in a global company (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using any of SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis (experience)
  • Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting (experience)
