Technical Infrastructure Program Manager

full-timePosted: Jul 19, 2026Updated: Aug 27, 2026Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

Job Description

Amazon is hiring a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to help run the engineering programs that keep every Amazon corporate office connected, across a network of 400 offices worldwide. This is your chance to join Corporate Network Engineering's Sydney team as its first dedicated program manager in the region, working alongside the network and systems engineers designing the next generation of Amazon's global office network. The scope of this opportunity, and the trust that comes with shaping how a growing function runs, is what sets it apart. As a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager, you will be part planner, part translator, turning network engineering strategy into delivered infrastructure across Amazon's corporate offices globally. You will own project schedules, risk, and stakeholder alignment across multiple concurrent programs, working directly with Global IT, Corporate Infrastructure, and external vendors to keep builds on time and on budget. From resolving a vendor delay before it hits a live deployment, to defusing conflict between teams mid-project, your work is what turns an engineering plan into a network that actually gets built. Key job responsibilities - Lead concurrent network engineering programs, including architecture evaluations, technology migrations, proof-of-concept testing, and platform enhancements, from concept through production readiness. - Partner with Network Development Engineers to translate technical designs into structured program plans, own the execution cadence (design reviews, technical decision tracking, cross-team dependency management). - Identify technical and programmatic risks early, quantify impact, and drive mitigation strategies through collaboration with engineering leads and stakeholders. - Facilitate trade-off discussions between engineering quality, scope, and timeline, ensuring teams deliver high-bar. - Track engineering milestones and communicate progress, blockers, and decisions to leadership through crisp written narratives and program reviews. - Drive continuous process improvement within the engineering development lifecycle. Identify inefficiencies and implement mechanisms that scale.
