In this crucial position, you will lead the development and execution of integrated global communications strategies supporting MariTide across assigned obesity-related indications. Reporting to the Director, Global MariTide Communications, who leads the overarching communications strategy for the MariTide portfolio, this role translates that strategy into indication-specific communications plans and execution, driving communications for key clinical data and regulatory milestones while ensuring communications are fully integrated into cross-functional launch planning. Serving as a strategic communications partner across Corporate Affairs, Medical, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Commercial, Investor Relations, and global affiliate teams, the Director delivers aligned communications that advance the development and launch of MariTide.This is a remote position based in the US, with the expectation of occasional travel to Thousand Oaks Headquarters and key events.Responsibilities:Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute global communications strategy for MariTide across indications, aligned with obesity and related conditions goals and OaR Corporate Affairs prioritiesDevelop and evolve indication-specific narratives and key messages for MariTide, aligned with the overarching communications strategy.Data and Milestone Communications: Develop and execute communications plans for key data milestones, product-development updates, and medical congress presence, ensuring clear and impactful messaging for internal and external audiences.Cross-functional Leadership: Partner with clinical, medical, regulatory, commercial, and Corporate Affairs teams to support MariTide development and the MARITIME clinical program with communications strategies. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging across all channels and engagementsDisease Education and Thought Leadership: Advise colleagues across OaR Corporate Affairs to ensure all initiatives are aligned with the MariTide and OAR narrative.Contributes to internal communications strategy to inform and engage Amgen employees about developments related to MariTide.Global & Affiliate Engagement: Enable regional and affiliate communications teams with the guidance and resources needed to successfully implement global communications strategiesWhat we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients.
