In this vital role you will be responsible for managing complex Linux server environments. The role includes planning, implementation, performance tuning, and maintenance of enterprise server platforms with a focus on reliability, security, and automation.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Linux Server Operations and have a passion for fostering innovation and excellence in the biotechnology industry. Additionally, collaboration with cross-functional and global teams is required to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux server support and automation, coupled with leadership and transformation experience. This role demands the ability to drive and deliver against key organizational strategic initiatives, foster a collaborative environment, and deliver high-quality results in a matrixed organizational structure. Please note, this is an on-site role based in Hyderabad.Roles & Responsibilities:Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing Linux and infrastructure operations teamDevelop and maintain server security and compliance standardsLead troubleshooting of complex, high-impact production issuesContribute to infrastructure design and architecture planningImplement automation using bash, Python, or AnsibleMonitor systems and proactively address performance bottlenecksDrive adoption of agentic workflow automation (e.g., self-healing systems, event-driven runbooks)Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure needsDocument system configurations and operational proceduresProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team membersWhat we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients.Basic Qualifications:Master's degree with 8+ years of experience ORBachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience ORDiploma with 14+ years of relevant experienceAdvanced knowledge of Linux server operating systems (RHEL, Ubuntu and Amazon Linux)Experience with virtualization (VMware, Nutanix)Strong understanding of networking and storage integrationHands-on expertise in scripting and automation toolsExpertise in scripting (Python, Bash) and automation frameworksLeading teamsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)Experience with ITIL processes and frameworksExperience with CI/CD and DevOps practicesExperience with workflow automation platforms (ServiceNow, n8n, or similar)Understanding of configuration management and automation tools (Red Hat Satellite Server, Ansible)Experience with DevOps, S/W development and scriptingGood knowledge of industry toolsProfessional Certifications:Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) (preferred)AWS Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional)Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)ITIL Foundation (preferred)Soft Skills:Strong systems thinking and ability to operate across complex, interconnected environments.Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentDecisive and calm under pressure, especially during critical incidentsStrong organizational and time management skillsTeam collaboration and knowledge sharingHigh curiosity and continuous learning mindset, especially in AI and automation domainsStrong collaboration and influencing skills in a global, matrixed organizationOwnership mindset with accountability for outcomes, not just tasks.Operating Expectations:This role requires on-site collaboration and participation in a structured on-call rotation supporting a 24/7 operations model, including periodic late weekend coverage.
