Analog Devices Federal LLC is looking for a 2nd Shift Process Engineering Technician responsible for developing and releasing new products and processes for complex microwave and millimeter wave electronic modules. The selected candidate will provide Operations support on the manufacturing floor in our internal manufacturing facility in Chelmsford, MA. This includes oversight of manufacturing readiness, execution of process procedures, integrating into new systems, conducting data analysis to improve yield and throughput by managing and driving continuous improvement activities. This is a hands-on position that requires strong communication skills with design and manufacturing and requires the ability to lead and participate in cross-functional teams for operational excellence.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Work with Manufacturing Engineering staff to develop new procedures and processes that incorporate design for manufacturing’s best practices to improve yield and cycle time metrics.Support troubleshooting of equipment and process issues that arise on their shift.Provide training to Operators on equipment and processes as needed.Perform investigations and analyses to disposition non-conforming material, and participate in the root cause investigation and corrective action implementation.Provides guidance to production operators when engineering support is required.Provides general technical assistance to the Engineering and Manufacturing organizations, including items such as data collection, equipment validation and qualification, automation programming, etc.Qualifications:U.S. Citizen Willing to apply for a security clearanceAssociate degree or equivalent experience with Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related technical discipline in the micro-electronics industryPrior experience working in a semiconductor or electronics manufacturing environment (3-5 years of applicable experience)Strong analytical mind with problem solving skillsAbility to work and communicate effectively with direct labor on the Assembly floorAbility to handle time sensitive projects and assist with data driven decision making in a manufacturing environment.Understanding and knowledge of Data analysis, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE), 6-Sigma, Lean manufacturing principles is a plusHighly motivated and passionate about their jobThis is a second shift position with hours 3PM-11:30PM and is eligible for shift differential.For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
