Engineer I, Test Engineering - Product DevelopmentJoin ADI as an Associate Test Engineer to design and implement testing methodologies for cutting-edge semiconductor products. This entry-level position offers an excellent foundation for a career in test engineering while working with industry-leading technologies.About the RoleAs an Associate Test Engineer in our Product Development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cost-effective methods for testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. You will work across all phases of product development and manufacturing, preparing test and diagnostic programs, designing test fixtures and equipment, and completing specifications and procedures for new products. In this entry-level position, you will collaborate with experienced engineers to plan resources for testing activities and contribute to ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and Develop Testing Methods: Create and implement cost-effective testing methodologies for validating systems and equipment performanceTest Program Development: Assist in preparing test and diagnostic programs to evaluate product functionality and performance metricsTest Fixtures and Equipment: Support the design of test fixtures and equipment for evaluating product performance under various conditionsTest Setup Definition: Help define test setups that subject devices to various stresses required for standards complianceResource Management: Assist in planning labor, schedules, and equipment allocation for testing activitiesTroubleshooting: Participate in troubleshooting efforts to identify and resolve issues throughout product development phasesQuality Assurance: Ensure testing processes adhere to established quality standards and requirementsPCB Design: Contribute to the design of PCBs for test setups and evaluation boardsMust Have SkillsTest Case Development: Ability to create structured test cases that validate product functionality and performance against specificationsDiagnostic Testing: Basic understanding of diagnostic testing methodologies to identify product defects and performance issuesTest Fixtures Design: Fundamental knowledge of designing simple test fixtures to support product evaluationProcedure Development: Capability to document clear testing procedures that can be followed consistently by othersResource Planning: Basic skills in estimating resource needs for testing activitiesTroubleshooting: Analytical approach to identifying and resolving basic technical problemsQuality Assurance: Familiarity with quality standards and their application in test processesQualification Testing: Understanding of qualification testing concepts and their importance in product developmentPCB Design: Fundamental knowledge of PCB design principles for test applicationsPreferred Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field0-2 years of experience in test engineering or a related fieldWhy You'll Love Working at ADIAt Analog Devices, you'll be part of a collaborative and innovative team that's shaping the future of technology.
