As a Facilities Technician 4 – UPW & IWW, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing ultra-pure water (UPW), wastewater treatment, and water reuse systems that support semiconductor manufacturing operations.In this advanced technician role, you will own the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex utility systems, ensuring environmental compliance, system reliability, and continuous improvement of water usage and recycling processes.ShiftMonday–Friday (Day or Swing)Key ResponsibilitiesOperate, monitor, and maintain:18 MΩ-cm RO/DI (UPW) systemsIndustrial wastewater treatment systems, including ACID Waste Neutralization (AWN) and HF treatmentWater recycling and reclaim systems (DI reclaim, IRW – Industrial Reclaim Water)Perform troubleshooting and repairs across:RO/DI systems, reclaim systems, and wastewater treatment processesPumps, motors, valves, and fluid distribution systemsControl systems, sensors, and instrumentationPlan, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance (PM) activities on:Chillers, CDA systems, boilers, air handlersScrubbers and closed-loop cooling systemsPerform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve system reliabilityOperate lab and analytical equipment to perform:DI water quality testingWastewater sampling and analysisMaintain detailed logs and generate reports on system performanceUse Statistical Process Control (SPC) and trend analysis to identify deviations and improve system stabilityEnsure compliance with environmental regulations, including discharge limits and reporting requirementsMaintain documentation to support audits and inspectionsTrack water usage and support water conservation and reduction initiativesParticipate in continuous improvement efforts, including 5S and inventory managementMinimum QualificationsAssociate’s degree in a technical field (mechanical, electrical, chemical, or related) OR equivalent hands-on experienceStrong working knowledge of:DI/UPW systems and wastewater treatment processesMechanical systems (pumps, valves, piping)Basic electrical systems (motors, controls)Preferred QualificationsExperience in a semiconductor manufacturing (wafer fab) environmentHands-on experience with:Water recycling / reclaim systems and sustainability programsChemical handling and hazardous material safetyFamiliarity with:Control systems (HMI, PLCs, PID loops)Instrumentation and metrology toolsExperience using SPC, control charts, and data analysis toolsFor positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
