Position SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Linux & Storage administrator to be part of the global Engineering-IT organization. The ideal candidate must have 5+ years’ experience in managing on-prem and cloud Linux and Netapp storage environment in large enterprise, troubleshooting, and supporting critical business applications. This role requires strong technical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLinux System AdministrationInstall, configure, maintain, and upgrade Linux OS & application (Red Hat and Ubuntu) in a physical and virtual environmentPerform system monitoring, patching, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.Manage enterprise identity services and access controls.NetApp Storage Management Provision, monitor, and maintain on-prem NetApp FAS/AFF/CDOT storage systems running clustered Data ONTAPManage cloud solutions like Amazon FSx including cloud provisioning and tuning performance and capacity.Configure multi-protocol access environment using NFS v3/v4, CIFS , iSCSI, data protection using snapmirror, snapvault etc. and monitoring using OnCommand/Active IQInfrastructure & Platform SupportSupport physical, virtual, and AWS-based Linux environments used for semiconductor design.Manage core infrastructure services such as DNS, LDAP, NFS, email, printing, and web/application servers.Ensure system reliability, availability, and security.Security & ComplianceImplement security best practices, system hardening, and vulnerability remediation.Support audits, compliance activities, firewall management, and access reviews.Incident Management & OperationsMonitor infrastructure and storage health and respond to system issues and outages.Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.Maintain operational documentation and procedures.Automation & Continuous ImprovementDevelop tools and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.Support infrastructure automation, configuration management, and DevOps initiatives.Collaboration & SupportWork closely with engineering, network, security, cloud, and application teams.Provide technical support and knowledge sharing across the IT organization.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.5+ years of Linux system and 3+ years of NetApp storage administration experienceExperience managing enterprise Linux environments, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Ubuntu.Proficiency in scripting (shell/ python).Understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, SSH, and NTP.Experience with configuring monitoring and logging tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana).Preferred QualificationsExperience working in semiconductors, EDA, or high-performance computing (HPC) environments.Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible or Puppet.Knowledge of container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.Advanced certifications in RedHat , NetApp , AWS etc. are a plus.Soft SkillsStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and teamwork skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Customer-focused mindset.Experience with project management and using AI tools to improve productivity is a plus.For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
