Job Description SummaryThe Senior Embedded Software Engineer (P4) will develop and maintain embedded software solutions for RF and data converter products. This role involves low-level software development, close interaction with hardware, and ownership of complex features across multiple products. The position requires strong technical expertise, independence, and effective cross‑functional collaboration.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain embedded software in C/C++ for RF and data‑converter platformsDevelop and support low-level firmware, device drivers, and hardware-facing APIsSupport silicon bring‑up, integration, and debug on evaluation boards and lab systemsCollaborate with hardware, systems, validation, applications, and tools teamsDebug complex system issues spanning firmware, hardware, and software toolsContribute to software architecture decisions, code reviews, and design discussionsProduce and maintain technical documentation for internal and external useSupport multiple projects, releases, and customer issues in parallelMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fieldStrong experience in embedded software development (C/C++), typically 6–10+ yearsSolid understanding of embedded systems architecture, including ARM‑based systemsExperience with memory‑mapped I/O, interrupts, DMA, and real‑time constraintsStrong debugging and problem‑solving skills, including use of lab equipmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with RF systems, data converters, or signal processing productsFamiliarity with Linux‑based embedded systems and/or RTOS environmentsExperience supporting new silicon bring‑up or pre‑silicon environmentsPython or scripting experience for automation, tooling, or testExperience mentoring junior engineers or acting as a technical leadLevel Expectations – P4Operates as a senior individual contributor with limited supervisionOwns complex features or subsystems end‑to‑endProvides technical guidance and influences team‑level decisionsBalances hands‑on development with architectural thinkingAdditional InformationTravel: Up to 10%.Location: Valencia, Spain#LI-TK1For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (degree in master)
  • Strong experience in embedded software development (C/C++), typically 6–10+ years (experience, 10 years)
  • Solid understanding of embedded systems architecture, including ARM‑based systems (experience)
  • Experience with memory‑mapped I/O, interrupts, DMA, and real‑time constraints (experience)
  • Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills, including use of lab equipment (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with RF systems, data converters, or signal processing products (experience)
  • Familiarity with Linux‑based embedded systems and/or RTOS environments (experience)
  • Experience supporting new silicon bring‑up or pre‑silicon environments (experience)
  • Python or scripting experience for automation, tooling, or test (experience)
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers or acting as a technical lead (experience)
