As an Electrical Engineer, you are responsible for designing, modifying, and troubleshooting electrical or electronic engineering assemblies, layouts, schematics, and drawings to advance the equipment that supports our technology. Using your technical experience and critical thinking skills, you will perform engineering analysis, generate test reports, develop innovative solutions, and create documentation for product releases. You will also coordinate the procurement and assembly of components, identify sources of critical parts, and resolve technical issues to ensure peak performance. The ProgramJoin the Fusion Team in 2027! Fusion is a rotational training program within the Applied Materials Semiconductor Equipment business unit located in Gloucester, MA. It is designed to attract, assimilate, grow, and retain the most talented engineers entering the industry today. During the first two years of employment, Fusion engineers go through a series of rotational assignments and work on cutting-edge designs to enable next generation technologies. The rotations typically consist of three or four unique engineering departmental assignments. These rotations help Fusion members and managers determine where the Fusion member will flourish in their full-time position at Applied Materials.Program starts in summer 2027, on-site at our Gloucester, MA campus ResponsibilitiesOur early career Electrical Engineers at the Bachelor’s level perform routine assignments under the guidance of senior engineers. You will develop competence in the role by performing structured work assignments while using existing procedures to solve both routine and standard problems. Electrical Engineers work with a range of technologies, including Plasma Physics, Automation & Control Systems, Motion Control, Power Distribution & RF power generation and delivery components as well as PCB analog & digital circuit design. Responsibilities include:Coordinate the procurement and assembly of electrical/electronic components/equipment and identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve basic technical issuesDesign or modify electrical/electronic engineering assemblies, layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of limited scope under direct supervisionPerform basic engineering analysis under direct supervisionPerform and generate basic engineering test reports under direct supervisionGenerate related alpha/gamma documentation for product releaseTroubleshoot a variety of basic electrical problemsEffective use of engineering processes in the resolution of generally difficult electrical problems of limited scope The industry is in continuous need of innovative ways to develop faster & better products to meet the ever-increasing electrical design needs of our customers. Required Qualifications

  • Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree (or Master's) in Electrical Engineering or related field (degree in master)
