As a Buyer, you’ll be responsible for purchasing the materials, supplies, machinery, and services that equip our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. You’ll collaborate across teams and showcase your organization and strategic planning skills to monitor inventory, manage delivery scheduling, negotiate with suppliers, and procure essential items that transform possibilities into realities for our customers and teams. About EPG (Equipment Product Group)Equipment Product Group (EPG) is a business unit within Applied Materials' WWO (Worldwide Operations) organization. EPG focuses on the manufacturing, refurbishment, upgrade, and lifecycle support of semiconductor equipment, particularly 200mm and legacy platforms. The team works closely with global customers to improve equipment productivity, extend tool life, and support growing markets.Role Responsibilities: Ensure supply continuity to enable manufacturing with speed and quality. Follow-up on orders, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain necessary records. Adhere to standard purchasing business processesProactively drive and ensure timely delivery/shipment of parts from supplier to Applied factories including resolution of shipment/receiving and billing issues with supplierPartner with suppliers on demand/supply collaboration. Execute and manage pull-ins/push-outs with suppliers to meet MRP demandDrive inventory and E&Z reduction effortsNegotiate and execute purchase and RFQ (Request for Quotation) to drive the lowest cost consistent with consideration of quality, reliability of source and urgency of needDrive problem resolution for supply issues with key stakeholders (engineering, manufacturing, Program Managers) with support from ManagersMinimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree1-2 years of related experienceEnglish proficiency equivalent to TOEIC 750 or above, with the ability to communicate effectively with global suppliers and collaborate with global cross-functional teams.Preferred Qualifications: A solid understanding of the industry’s key business drivers Experience in supplier price negotiations and cost reduction initiatives.Good communication/interpersonal skills to explain complex information to othersAdditional InformationTime Type:Full timeEmployee Type:Assignee / RegularTravel:Not SpecifiedRelocation Eligible:NoApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
