As an Electrical Engineer, you are responsible for designing, modifying, and troubleshooting electrical or electronic engineering assemblies, layouts, schematics, and drawings to advance the equipment that supports our technology. Using your technical experience and critical thinking skills, you will perform engineering analysis, generate test reports, develop innovative solutions, and create documentation for product releases. You will also coordinate the procurement and assembly of components, identify sources of critical parts, and resolve technical issues to ensure peak performance. Roles and ResponsibilitiesImplement concepts for variety of complex product issues and electrical solutions of difficult scopeDesign or modify electrical/electronic engineering assemblies, layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of difficult scopePerform engineering analysis of difficult scope with limited supervisionProblem identification and troubleshooting a variety of complex electrical problems with limited supervision in lab and customer fab environment.Technically lead and/or executes engineering projects, including development of key suppliersDefine, coordinate, perform and generate engineering test reports with limited supervisionSpecify and review engineering documentationFunctional KnowledgeRegarded as the technical expert in power distributionMinimum working knowledge but ideally well versed in of relevant standards i.e. NFPA70, NFPA79, Semi S2, S22, F47 and UL508A etc.Understanding or experience working with power control designs and applicationsDemonstrated knowledge of working with major electrical components used in power distribution designs and ability to troubleshoot them as requiredBackground in power quality is preferredBusiness ExpertiseSemiconductor equipment industry experience is a plus but is not requiredLeadershipFast learner, owns outcomes, and leads by exampleAbility to effectively work on more than one projectActs as a resource for colleagues with less experienceLead design projects as neededProblem SolvingStrong problem-solving skills; Determined to root cause isolation; Hands-onSolves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of informationImpactImpacts a range of internal and external customer, projects or service activities within own team and other related teams;Interpersonal SkillsExplains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s EE degree7-10 years of experience in a related fieldPreferred Qualifications:Masters’s EE degreeAbility to navigate Applied Materials product development life cycleDemonstrated experience leading projectsExtensive hands-on experience working on semiconductor equipmentAdditional InformationTime Type:Full timeEmployee Type:Assignee / RegularTravel:Yes, 10% of the TimeRelocation Eligible:YesThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
