Location TaiwanJob DescriptionApplied Materials is looking for a junior Electrical Engineer to join our Electrical Design Team supporting the YTG platform. This role is well suited for an engineer with a solid electrical engineering foundation, strong curiosity, and a hands-on mindset who is eager to grow within a dynamic and evolving product environment.The YTG platform, specially in Semiconductor, is under continuous development, offering broad exposure to electrical design, system integration, and cross-functional engineering activities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build experience across multiple technical areas before gradually focusing on a specialization aligned with their strengths and interests.Key Responsibilities: Support electrical design activities for Semiconductor and Display equipment within the YTG platformRead, understand, and work with electrical circuit diagrams and system schematicsPerform hands-on engineering tasks related to electrical subsystems, including analysis, testing, and documentationCollaborate closely with other electrical, mechanical, and system engineers with clearly defined scope interfacesSupport system-level integration activities and assist in issue investigation and resolution in house and at our supplierContribute to design updates, engineering changes, and product improvements under guidance of senior engineersParticipate in reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives within the teamRequired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related fieldEntry-level to early-career experienceAbility to read and understand electrical schematics and circuit diagramsPractical, hands-on engineering orientation with willingness to work close to the hardwareStrong curiosity and motivation to learn across a broad technical scopeAbility to work effectively in an international team environment and collaborate across engineering disciplinesGood communication skills in a technical team settingPreferred Qualifications: Exposure to electrical design for systems or equipment (academic or industry)Basic experience with system-level electrical design or integrationFamiliarity with engineering documentation, design reviews, or change processesInterest in growing toward broader system engineering responsibilities over timeLevel & Growth OpportunityThis position is open at junior level, depending on experienceThe role provides broad technical exposure in an evolving platform and supports long-term development toward more advanced electrical or system engineering rolesAdditional InformationTime Type:Full timeEmployee Type:Assignee / RegularTravel:Yes, 20% of the TimeRelocation Eligible:NoApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
